Whether you are young or old, walking is something we all enjoy. The area surrounding High Hawsker is one of the most beautiful and versatile area's for walking. While walking along the cliff-tops you have some spectacular views, and if you like to walk around the area of Falling Foss or May Beck, you will enjoy the sounds of the waterfall and streams, and the wind playing with the leaves of the trees. There are a number of walks to choose from. Either you can choose to stay in the direct area and do one of the six circular walks around Robin Hood's Bay, or you can just walk from Grange Farm to Whitby or Robin Hood's Bay, either along the cliff-tops or along the old railway line. Also the nearby Moorlands provide beautiful scenery to explore. Other popular walks include six of the best walks along the coast. These circular walks are based on the route of the Cleveland Way. One of these walks passes through the village of High Hawsker. The walks vary from 6,5 miles / 10.5 km, to 10 miles / 16 km. For further information about walks in the area have a look at the website of the North York Moors National Park.
